Lavender Estate is the next chapter in a uniquely West Australian journey - one that began with a turf farm, a big idea, and a lot of lavender.
In 2005, a 25-acre property in Carabooda - once used to grow lawn – was transformed into a lavender farm. More than 40,000 plants were established, irrigation systems installed, and the hard work of building a new kind of agricultural venture began. Within a few years, the farm’s pure lavender oil had won national awards and a reputation for quality and care.
Nearly two decades later, the Estate has been reimagined for a new generation. With a refreshed café, boutique retail store, shaded playground and expanded product range, Lavender Estate has become a family-friendly destination where Guests can slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy small delights worth returning for.
Today, Lavender Estate is Western Australia’s largest operating lavender farm, spanning 26 acres with 44 fragrant rows stretching 300 metres each. From December to February, the fields burst into vibrant bloom, creating one of Perth’s most photogenic summer backdrops. Outside of peak season, thousands of ornamental lavenders keep the farm in colour year-round and attract pollinators across the property.
The farm grows three oil-producing varieties - Grosso, Impress Purple, and Vera - steam-distilled right here on site. Each small batch captures the Estate’s paddock-to-product philosophy, with oil used in sprays, creams, teas, and other signature creations. Guests can also experience the process firsthand through distillation demonstrations, farm walks, and guided Devonshire Tea sessions.
The café and shop overlook the fields, offering picnic-ready meals, WA craft drinks, lavender scones, and lavender ice cream. Whether you come for lunch, a cone of chips, or simply a moment of calm, this is a place to relax and enjoy something made with care.

From seedling to shelf, many of our products are grown, distilled, and packaged right here on the Estate. We prioritise WA-made ingredients, collaborate with trusted local makers, and use recyclable packaging wherever possible. Lavender Estate is proudly independent, family-focused, and committed to creating quality products and memorable experiences for the long haul.
